Try Doing This: Drug Updates Mapped to Stakeholders

How Athena BDA maps drug updates — approvals, indications, pipeline news and acquisitions — directly to the stakeholders working on the brand.

Try Doing This: how Athena BDA maps drug updates directly to the stakeholders working on the brand.

Most sales intelligence tools are good at giving you contacts.

What they don’t give you is the industry-specific context around those contacts, including the signals that help you work out who is worth targeting and why.

What the Try Doing This series is about

That’s what the Try Doing This series is about: showing some of the things you can do with Athena BDA that you can’t do with more generic sales intelligence tools.

For the first video, I’m looking at one of the signals we track each month: drug updates.

From drug update to stakeholder list

Athena tracks important pharma developments across approvals, new indications, pipeline updates and acquisition news. We then add the context around those updates, including the size of the opportunity, indication, lifecycle stage and relevant competitor brands.

The key piece is that those updates are also mapped directly to the relevant stakeholders working on the drug.

So rather than seeing a piece of pipeline news and then having to work out who owns the brand, who sits in the relevant commercial or marketing team and who you should actually contact, that work is already done for you.

You can move from a drug update straight into a list of relevant stakeholders, lead scores and validated contact details.

You can also overlay those opportunities against your company’s LinkedIn network to see where someone on your team already has a connection into the relevant brand team.

Watch the video above to see how it works.
