Athena Intelligence Hub — Recent Updates

A round-up of the latest Intelligence Hub releases: the Athena MCP Lite connector for Claude and ChatGPT, expanded Key Drug Database views, richer conference intelligence, a full Scoring & Connection Center, a new Learning Center, clearer co-promote handling and Contact Portal quick filters.

We've shipped a batch of updates across the Athena Intelligence Hub over recent weeks. Here's a run-through of what's new, what it means, and how to start using it.

    1. Athena MCP — Lite Version (Beta)

We’ve released a lite version of our MCP connector, which lets you plug the Intelligence Hub directly into Claude or ChatGPT so your AI can query Athena data live during conversations.

    What's available now

    • Live access to the Key Drug Database — search drugs, pull brand scores, intent signals, sales tiers and catalysts.
    • Monthly Prompt Lists and pipeline news lookups.
    • Conference data — agendas, speakers, pricing and pre-conference announcements.
    • News Digests and drug announcements.
    • Job change intelligence.
    • LinkedIn connection roster queries (“who do we know at Company X”).
    • AI Messaging Assistant — build your own assistant on top of Athena data. Setup instructions live in the Connect Athena to AI page inside the Hub.

What's not in the lite version yet

    • No direct linkage into the Contact Portal — contact-level pulls still happen in the Portal itself.
    • Currently in testing with select clients — full launch coming soon.

    2. Key Drug Database (KDD) Updates

    • Three views now available in the Key Drug Database: Drug-level, Company-level and Franchise-level aggregations.
    • Direct click-through to the Contact Portal from each brand — jump straight to the mapped contacts for any drug.
    • Brand Score column now supports stacked Company + Personal scores.

    3. Conference Module Updates

    • Therapeutic conferences now come with pre-built prospect lists — the contacts most likely to attend the event.
    • Pre-conference announcements are pulled in automatically from attending companies, so you can see who is making news heading into the event.

    4. Scoring & Connection Center

Everything now lives inside the Scoring & Connection Center.

    Brand Scorer

    • Now scores companies and franchises, not just individual drugs.
    • Save scores at both a Company level (visible to your whole team) and a Personal level.

    Lead Score Builder

    • Now savable and testable — test your lead score against real contacts to see how it performs.
    • Saving a lead score alerts the Athena team to apply it across the Intelligence Hub for you.

    LinkedIn Connection Mapping

    • Upload and save your company’s LinkedIn connections directly within the Intelligence Hub.
    • Trigger an alert to the Athena team when connections are refreshed so we can re-map across the Hub.

    5. Learning Center

The new Learning Center is a central hub for getting up to speed:

    • Video tutorials for every module.
    • Knowledge Base — platform overview, key concepts and a searchable data dictionary.
    • MCP setup instructions, including the AI Instruction Manual.

    6. Co-Promote Handling

    • Co-promoted brands are now flagged explicitly, showing EU vs US marketing rights per partner.
    • Contact tagging methodology updated — contacts are mapped to brands only in the regions where their company holds rights, so you won't see a US-only lead tagged against an EU-partner's brand.

    7. Contact Portal Enhancements

    • Brand hover tooltips — hover over any brand name in the Contact Portal and get an instant KDD summary card.
    • Quick filters for the highest-signal contact segments: LinkedIn Connections (contacts your team is already connected to), Launch Leaders (contacts flagged as leading a live or imminent brand launch) and Apex Leads (top-tier contacts from your Company Lead Score tiering).

Log in to the Intelligence Hub to explore the updates, or get in touch if you want a walkthrough of any of the new modules.
